9/1/15 – 9/7/15

I love eBay!  I love thrifting!  And I love making money!  The first week of September I made over $600!
I’m really going to try to keep the sales up by keeping my items listed.  I have a terrible habit of stockpiling hundreds of clothing items and listing them way after I bought them.  It’s going to be a difficult transition, but I need to start listing things right after I buy them and not choose the “money-makers” over the $10 profit items.
Steven and I went on our weekly Wednesday thrifting road trip to Delaware.  I got so many bags full of clothing for less than $200.  I even scored a vintage Fendi dress and a pair of heels that retail for over $1000 (I’ll post about these later).  I also found 5 pairs of Lucky Brand jeans, Eileen Fisher, and Lululemon.  I found a lot more “bread and butter” $15 profit items.  I’m thinking about making my next post a thrift haul.
On a side note.  I really really really cannot wait to move into a new house.  With Steven and I both doing eBay in our small 2 bedroom townhouse, the clothes are really taking over.  We will finally be able to have a designated eBay room, which we will even be able to write off come tax time!
Here are a few of my recent flips:

As you have probably noted, most of my items I get around $20 for.  Some go for a hundred, but most twenty.  I rely on these items for my profits.  My average profit in September has been $19.65 which is up from my previous $17.  I follow a lot of people on social media who will only buy things that will profit them at least $40, but in the area I live in, this is not possible.  I live in a very rural area where most of the population probably has no idea about Tory Burch or Badgley Mischka.  I hope when I get to Richmond (which is much more fashion forward, I mean c’mon they have a Lululemon store!) I can start buying less and making more.
Hopefully I’ll get back to you with a thrift haul in the near future!  Thank you for following along with me!

August

So many amazing things happened in August!  I made over $2000 profit and only worked for probably 80 hours in August. On top of that, I landed my first “big girl” job.   My new job has an amazing salary and I am still planning on making at least $1000 a month on eBay.  I think it becomes really easy to make $1000 once you have so many things listed, right now I’m hovering under 300 items listed.  Each day, I sell 6 or so things, so I really only need to list about 30 things a week to stay at my 300 items which will only take me maybe two hours.  This way I will consistently be making about $1000 a month, I could easily make more by putting in maybe 5 hours a week.  Honestly, when selling 6 items a day, I am probably making closer to $2000 each month.  And of course, I could never give up thrifting, and I’d rather buy for a profit than buy for me.

Also guys!  I made over $500 dollars in September already, and I’ve only listed about 20 new items (however, I did shop, a lot!)  I’ve sold a total of 30 items so far in Sept.  My goal is to get at least 150 items listed this week.  I’m moving to the Richmond area within a month and really want to have everything listed and stored properly before I go.
Happy Labor Day!  30 more listings until I can relax!
